DESCRIPTION:We encourage all of our our followers\, guests\, supporters\, sponsors and partners who live in Salem\, NH to VOTE YES for Article 19 on Salem’s March 11th ballot. \n❓ What is Article 19?\nArticle 19:\nBy Petition: Field of Dreams: Shall the Town vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10\,000) for the purpose of maintaining the Field of Dreams and raising funds for improvements? \n❓Is Article 19 supported by the Town?\nThis petition is voted with RECOMMENDATION from:\n💰 Salem Budget Committee\n👨‍⚖️ Salem Town Council\nThis means Salem Budget Committee and Salem Town Council SUPPORT Field of Dreams and would like the park to receive the $10\,000. \n❓ Why support Article 19 on March 11th?\nIt helps our Board deliver a great park experience to YOU and your FAMILY.\nPark revenue helps with maintenance (plowing\, grass cutting\, park repairs\, etc.) and operational fees (water bill for misting station\, insurances\, electricity for park lights\, website hosting\, etc.). \n❓ Has Field of Dreams asked for money from the Town of Salem before?\nThis is the FIRST TIME in the park’s 33 YEAR HISTORY\, the Board is turning to town for park maintenance assistance.\nOver the years\, the park has reviewed these upgrades:\n🎸 New $500\,000 performance pavilion revealed in Spring ’24\n🖌️ Paint and playground upgrades in Summer ’24\n💧 New Irrigation System\n🏋️ Fitness Trail\n⛲ Water Misting Station\n💡 Upgraded lighting on brick path near playground\n📽️ FREE Movie Nights\n🎤 FREE Summer Concerts\n🎈 Low cost Family Fun Day (the first four years had no ticket fee!)\n🍿 New this year – a concession stand!!\n🛠️ Countless repairs to the playground over three decades\nField of Dreams is now turning to our community for YOUR voting support on March 11th! \n❓ Why does Field of Dreams request financial assistance this year?\nThe assistance will help offset revenue the park is losing by combining Family Fun Day with the town’s SALEMBRATION! event.\nOur annual August fundraiser\, Family Fun Day\, generates $30\,000 in revenue.\n2025 is Salem’s 275th Anniversary. The Board was approached to assist with the FREE anniversary party\, SALEMBRATION!\, on August 9th and to use Field of Dreams as one of the celebration’s locations.\nThe Board realizes the importance of the event and the necessity of the park’s involvement. Therefore\, Field of Dreams will be combining its annual Family Fun Day in 2025 with SALEMBRATION!\nThis means Field of Dreams is losing all potential revenue from this event as there is NO CHARGE for SALEMBRATION!\nDespite missing out on major revenue\, the Board will still donate their time and services to plan and manage the SALEMBRATION! events at the park on August 9th\, which includes two musical acts\, bounce houses\, inflatable obstacle courses\, a petting zoo\, face painting\, photo ops with characters\, and a beer garden. \n❓ How do I support Article 19?\nVote YES to Article 19 on March 11th. \n❓ How do I register to vote?\nGo here: https://www.salemnh.gov/Faq.aspx?QID=166#\nClick on: 1.
